Child protection is essential for the attainment of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In order to meet the SDGs globally, India’s progress in achieving the goals which are focused on women and children is strategically important. India is also uniquely placed as an example among developing countries for upholding the rule of law through its legal regime, including robust policies, budgetary allocations for institutional development, and by building the capacity of all stakeholders. To supplement the efforts being made by the Government of India, an integral role can be played by grassroots-level interventions made by non-governmental and community-based organizations.
The ‘Access to Justice’ program, supported by the Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation US, provides support to NGOs to supplement, augment, and complement the efforts being made by the Government in the field of child protection.
Applications from FCRA-registered NGOs to work in strategic districts are now invited, and the list of districts can be downloaded below. Additionally, NGOs are invited to suggest other strategic intervention(s) that may play a crucial role in the field of child protection.
Selected organizations will be notified within a period of fifteen days after the closure of applications on the next step in the process. Short-listed organizations will be invited to Delhi to participate in a workshop where collectively we will co-create the intended work.
Submitting the EoI with answers to the eligibility criteria questions does not automatically guarantee that the organization will be selected to move forward in the process. Short-listed organizations participating in the workshop are also not guaranteed to move forward to the next stage.
Applications are now open and will close on 30 April 2024 at 11:59 pm IST. We highly encourage organizations to apply as early as possible, to ensure all documents required are received by the deadline and to avoid any technical issues. No late applications or documents will be accepted.
The Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation US reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during or after the solicitation process and also reserves the right to require compliance with additional conditions as and when issuing the final grant agreement document.
